I started triathlon in 2012 when i missed out on the Olympics track and field, i had been struggling with a knee injury post surgery and managed to win the European XC Champs but then kept training on and off so i started to switch a lot of my run training with swimming and biking to help the knee but i wanted a goal for all the training so i did London Triathlon and was hooked! I switched to triathlon because i love the lifestyle, i love to be able to train more, to push every part of my body and to have a challenge in the swim and a real weakness to work on! I probably hit on average around 42hours of training a week and i train every day but Friday is my easier day as i rest my legs and just do gym, swim and yoga. So far my best result in triathlon would be my first World half ironman championships in 2017 where i placed 2nd. The biggest reason i love training for triathlon so much is the deep dark places that i can hit with my body, the pain i can endure and come out the other side stronger, pushing myself through barriers i didnt know was possible, there is no feeling more satisfying or rewarding, i get the biggest high when I'm training and music helps me achieve this :)
