XTRAINERZ FAQ
- Waterproof
According to IEC 60529 " Degrees of protection against ingress of water (IP Code)", the waterproof specification of Xtrainerz is IPX8.
IPX8: After testing, when submerged in a depth of 2m water for 2 hours, Xtrainerz can still maintain its operability.Note:
If you are using a Xtrainerz in a swimming pool, do not wear it more than 2 meters deep.
- Dustproof
According to IEC 60529 " Degrees of protection against solid foreign objects (IP Code)", the dustproof specification of Xtrainerz is IP6X.
IP6X: After swaying for 8 hours in a test device which contains dust particles that is up to 75μm in diameter, Xtrainerz can still maintain its operability.

To enjoy using your Xtrainerz while swimming, you can wear supplied swimming earplugs. Of course, this depends on your swimming habits.
You can charge your Xtrainerz with the provided USB charging cradle. Attach your Xtrainerz to the USB Charging Cradle, make sure the Pogo Pins of the Xtrainerz and the terminals of the USB Charging Cradle are in contact with each other. Connect the USB Charging Cradle to a computer or a USB wall charger. Please ensure the charger does not exceed 5 volts. We do not recommend fast chargers.
The LED indicator turns red when charging starts, and blue when Xtrainerz have fully charged. Please clean and dry the Pogo Pins of the Xtrainerz and the terminals of the USB Charging Cradle before charging.
Xtrainerz comes with a USB Charging Cradle. If you lost your USB Charging Cradle, please contact our Customer Service Team.
Xtrainerz takes about 2 hours to charge from 0 to 100 percent. They arrive out of the box at approximately 50 percent charged.
You can download the audio files such as songs, audio books into your computer. If you have problems downloading the audio files, you can contact our Customer Happiness Team for help. Attach your Xtrainerz to the USB Charging Cradle, make sure the Pogo Pins of the Xtrainerz and the terminals of the USB Charging Cradle are in contact with each other. Connect the USB Charging Cradle to a computer, it will show a “Xtrainerz”hard drive on your computer, and you can drag and drop audio files, such as songs and audio books, or folders into the "Xtrainerz" hard drive.
You may create folders in the “Xtrainerz”to organize your audio files, and then you can use the “Play Current Folder”function of Xtrainerz to listen to audio files in a specific folder.
You may disconnect the USB Charging Cradle once file transfer is complete and the LED indicator will flash red and blue while Xtrainerz organizes the files. The Xtrainerz buttons are not functional temporally.

To power on, press and hold the Multifunction/Power Button for 3 seconds, Audrey says “Welcome to Aftershokz”and the indicator flashes blue for 1 seconds.
To power off, press and hold the Multifunction/Power Button for 3 seconds, Audrey will say “Power Off”and the indicator flashes red for 1 seconds.
Press and hold Mode Button for 2 seconds to select General Mode/Swimming Mode.
We recommend to use "swimming mode" when you choose to wear Xtrainerz for swimming.
When you power on the Xtrainerz, the voice prompt announces the battery levels. When the Xtrainerz is in use, click Volume"+"/"-" while music is paused and a voice prompt "Charge me" announces if the battery needs to be charged.
The LED indicator flashes red every 5 seconds when the battery needs to be charged.

Press and hold volume"+"/"-" for 2 seconds to select the language that you use.
Click Multifunction/Power Button while music is paused. You’ll hear one beep. The music will play.
Click Multifunction/Power Button while music is playing. You’ll hear one beep. The music will pause.
Press and hold Volume"+" for 2 seconds while music is playing. You will hear one beep. The track will skip to the next one.
Press and hold Volume"-" for 2 seconds while music is playing. You will hear one beep. The track will go back to the previous one.
Click Volume"+" / Volume"-" to increase or decrease volume levels.
Click Mode Button to change Normal/Repeat/Shuffle to select play mode of songs.
1.You need to create folders on "Xtrainerz" when you transfer content.
2.Press and hold Volume"-" and Multifunction/Power Button for 2 seconds, and voice prompt announces "Play Current Folder", it means you can just play the audio files in current folder.
3.If voice prompt announces "Play All Folder", it means the all songs that you transfer into Xtrainerz will be played.
4.You can press and hold Volume"+" and Multifunction/Power Button for 2 seconds when you are under "Play Current Folder" state to change the folder that you want to play. You will hear “Next Folder”.
Xtrainerz starts to build the database(the indicator flashes red and blue) when it is removed from the computer. Nothing can be done with Xtrainerz while building the database. Please confirm that the database is completed before use (the indicator light ends blinking).
You can just switch to next folder when you are under "Play Current Folder" state.
You can press and hold Volume"+" and Multifunction/Power Button for 2 seconds when you are under "Play Current Folder" state to change the folder that you want to play. You will hear “Next Folder”.
Check the Pogo Pins of the Xtrainerz and the terminals of the USB Charging Cradle are dry and clean, and make sure they are in contact with each other. If the Xtrainerz continues to not charge, file a warranty claim here
The 8 usage hours are estimated on using conditions that EQ mode of Xtrainerz is “General Mode”. Battery life may vary depending on volume setting, conditions of use and ambient temperature.

Xtrainerz only support MP3, WAV, WMA, FLAC, AAC formats, the specific supported audio format information is as follows. If some audio files cannot be played, please check audio format whether is supported by Xtrainerz.

AfterShokz honors a two-year warranty in most countries that covers manufacturer defects. Please file a warranty claim here.
- Make sure to keep the Pogo Pins of the Xtrainerz and the terminals of the USB Charging Cradle are dry and clean.
- Attach your Xtrainerz to the supplied charging cradle properly and firmly.
- If the computer has not recognized the Xtrainerz, remove the Xtrainerz from the supplied charging cradle and then attach to the charging cradle again.
- If the Xtrainerz is still not recognized by computer, try a different USB port on the computer or a different computer.
- If the Xtrainerz continues to be not recognized by computer, file a warranty claim here.
Clean and dry the Xtrainerz with a dry, soft towel after use, especially after water sports. Please remember to dry Xtrainerz before charging.
The Xtrainerz should be kept in a cool, dry place with ambient temperatures of 0-45℃.Using the Xtrainerz in extreme cold or heat may shorten the battery life.
